What do you attribute your success to?
I'm just determined, and I'm also really detail-oriented, and I knew that would help me in this field of work. Hard work and perseverance have been key for me. I took a leap of faith even though I didn't have any business owners in my immediate family to guide me. I just kept studying and taking it one step at a time, paying out of pocket for everything until I finally got to the finish line where my business was actually established. Those nerves I had at the beginning quickly left once people started contacting me and I started working in my field.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty and hard work are most important to me. Communication is also crucial - effective communication and listening. Listening is a skill, to listen effectively to what's being said and to communicate clearly and effectively to whoever you're talking to. You basically are going to talk to them the way they talk. It's like when you're writing something and you have to know your audience. It's the same thing when you're communicating. You just get a feel of their background, where they're from, and you just communicate with them accordingly. Effective communication, clear communication, and effective listening are very important, not just in this line of work, but also just day-to-day life.
