Shameka Pierce

She is a community advocate, entrepreneur, mentor, and violence prevention leader with a powerful story of resilience and transformation. Growing up in Liberty City, she overcame homelessness, depression, and a traumatic brain injury, turning personal adversity into a purpose-driven commitment to health, peace, and community healing. She serves as a Peacemaker and Coordinator for The Sisterhood Wellness Circle within the Circle of Brotherhood, where she works as a violence interrupter and supports foster care youth. Her impact has been recognized through the Peace Award and the 2025 Inspiring Women of Health Award.
