Shanna Khan is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Shanna Collective, a bespoke enterprise recognized for advancing innovative design and development across custom and multi family residential, commercial, aviation and marine, luxury goods, and hospitality sectors. The company is headquartered in both Jacksonville, Florida and Chicago, Illinois, reflecting its national reach and influence. Beginning her career in student housing, Shanna has worked in every role across the industry, rising from entry level positions to executive leadership through hands on experience and deep operational knowledge. She earned her CAM Community Association Manager license in October 2025, underscoring her expertise and continued commitment to excellence.
Known for her supportive leadership style and open door approach, Shanna leads with a boots on the ground mindset that blends strategic vision with practical execution. She has guided teams through complex, transformative projects, including the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Shipyards, as well as national developments such as 919 West Fulton in Chicago and Broadway Chapter in Fort Worth, Texas. Her portfolio also includes luxury hospitality work such as The Resort at Urbana Country Club and the complete renovation of its historic Tom Bendelow designed golf course.
Beyond her professional work, Shanna is deeply committed to community involvement and service. She actively supports philanthropic initiatives including toy drives, food drives, and back to school backpack programs for children. She also serves as a Trustee of MOCA Jacksonville, further reflecting her dedication to cultural enrichment and community impact.
Outside of her professional life, Shanna is passionate about health, fitness, and wellness. A trained chef, she enjoys creating nutritious meals from scratch and believes strongly in balance as a foundation for long term success. The best career advice I’ve ever received is that it’s always okay to ask questions, as long as you take the time to remember the answers and learn from them. This approach fosters growth, builds knowledge, and demonstrates both curiosity and accountability in any professional setting.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to take risks and pursue what you truly want without hesitation. Believe in your abilities, stay focused on your goals, and don’t let fear or doubt hold you back.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I currently face in my field is maintaining a healthy work-life balance. While the demands of the industry are significant, I view this challenge as an opportunity to develop stronger time management skills, set boundaries, and prioritize both professional success and personal well-being.
