Sharleen’s career began in marketing, where she held positions as a Marketing Specialist and Digital Marketing Coordinator, gaining expertise in branding, communications, project management, and client relations. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Cinema from San Francisco State University in 2017 and later went on to complete her Master of Science in Marketing and Communication at Franklin University in 2021. In 2024, she earned her Notary Public Commission through Easy Notary Class, combining her business background with her passion for serving her community.

In addition to her professional work, Sharleen has given back through creative and community-focused efforts, including volunteer work with the Douglas Morrison Theatre. She believes strongly in using her skills and compassion to support others, whether through her business or her personal contributions.

Outside of work, Sharleen enjoys writing, dancing, and exploring fiction and self-help books. These hobbies not only fuel her creativity but also reflect her continuous pursuit of personal growth and storytelling.

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my mom. She supports me in every way, including handing out my business cards to as many people as she can.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to let go of any fear of failure or fear of the unknown. When you let go, you start getting business.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell them to do extensive research on the industry and follow Mark Wills on LinkedIn, he shares a lot of resources for beginners. Additionally, I would advise them to set aside time daily to organize themselves by keeping a record of every expense, mileage, and earnings. Any women entering the industry should take the class from Easy Notary Class, they provide a lot of resources for an affordable price, it's great for people getting into the industry or even seasoned Notary Publics.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

A challenge is that the housing market and current economic conditions are creating difficulty in opportunities to get Loan Signing jobs for beginners. However, Notaries are widely needed and as long as you market yourself well, you can guarantee jobs.

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Flexibility in a career is most important to me to create a work-life balance so that I can make time for my family as well as myself.
