Her Interview
Ten minutes with Shereen
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the drive and perseverance my parents instilled in me. I continue moving forward despite challenges, and I’ve been fortunate to have a strong network and mentors like Lisa Shade who believed in me, supported my growth, and opened doors to new opportunities.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to believe in myself and embrace opportunities, even when I feel uncertain. My mentor Lisa Shade saw my potential before I fully recognized it and encouraged me with the simple reminder, “You can do this.” That belief pushed me beyond my comfort zone and helped me grow as a leader. I’ve also been fortunate to have the support of my family, especially my husband, who continues to encourage and inspire me through every challenge and opportunity.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to stay curious, ask questions, and never be afraid to seek new opportunities. Be willing to knock on doors and create new ones for yourself. Embrace change with optimism and the courage to take the next step in your journey.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest opportunity in marketing today is the rapid evolution of technology, AI, and digital media. While the landscape continues to change, the foundation remains the same—understanding people, telling authentic stories, and building trust. I see AI as a powerful partner that enhances creativity and allows teams to innovate, work more efficiently, and focus on meaningful strategies. The marketers who continue learning, adapting, and combining technology with empathy will be the ones who thrive.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is the most important value I carry in both my professional and personal life. To me, integrity means being honest, transparent, and accountable while recognizing and giving credit to the people who have supported me along the way. It’s about doing the right thing and building trust through my actions.
