Ten minutes with Sheridan

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to building strong relationships, staying curious, and leading with collaboration. By listening to frontline teams, partnering with clinical leaders, and embracing continuous learning, I strive to develop practical solutions that strengthen quality, patient safety, and the overall patient experience while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to embrace challenges instead of avoiding them. Growth happens outside your comfort zone, and success often requires grit, perseverance, and the willingness to lean on your team while continuing to move forward.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Believe in your abilities before asking others to believe in them. Speak up, ask questions, and embrace challenges that help you grow. Earn respect through your knowledge, professionalism, and integrity, stay true to your values, and never underestimate the value of your voice.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that matter most to me are integrity, accountability, collaboration, and service. I believe in doing the right thing, building trust through honesty and respect, and keeping quality, safety, and compassion at the center of every decision. These principles guide both my professional work and my personal life.
