About Shiri
Shiri Galimidi is the founder and operator of Chillax Properties, a property management and financial consulting firm based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. With more than two decades of bookkeeping and financial management experience, she began developing her expertise while working alongside her father and later managing family businesses. Combining her financial background with her passion for real estate and hospitality, Galimidi earned her property management license in February 2024 and welcomed her first client shortly thereafter. Today, she oversees a growing portfolio of 28 properties, including five personally owned investments, while leading an in-house cleaning team and delivering comprehensive vacation rental solutions.
Through Chillax Properties, Galimidi is dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for both property owners and guests. She focuses on providing high-quality vacation accommodations with thoughtful amenities, personalized service, and direct booking opportunities designed to enhance guest relationships while reducing unnecessary fees. For owners, she offers strategic property management services that maximize bookings, protect investments, and maintain the long-term value of their properties. Her expertise spans property acquisition, renovations, operations, financial oversight, and building successful rental strategies.
Galimidi is an active member of the Vacation Rental Management Association (VRMA) and a women’s professional organization, continuing to expand her knowledge through professional development and coursework at St. John’s University, community college programs, and Pinnacle Academy. She attributes her success to determination, hard work, and a commitment to continuous improvement. She believes her team is one of the most important foundations of her business and strives to create an environment where employees, guests, and property owners feel valued. One of the biggest challenges in the field today is finding and retaining skilled, reliable staff who are committed to delivering high-quality service. Another key opportunity is encouraging customers to transition toward direct bookings, creating stronger relationships while improving efficiency and overall business growth. Addressing these challenges requires a focus on talent development, customer engagement, and building trust through exceptional experiences.
