Her Interview
Ten minutes with Silvia
01What do you attribute your success to?
I am really open to feedback. Feedback is a great gift. I am adaptable to change, apply circle of control, spend time on what I can control. Be accountable myself and lead by example. Be open to learn and grow every day. I like to be in uncomfortable positions because those are the places that made me grow.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Always try new things and learn, because if you don't try, you're never gonna know if you can find something else. It's never too late to find a new passion. Listen to that mentor, and apply every feedback that person gives to you, and then pay to that person to help you. Pick somebody, and be the mentor of that person.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Biggest challenge was the language barrier. Another big challenge as a leader was to understand that what was working for me probably doesn't work for everybody. It's not about me anymore, it's about my people and how I can support them to grow and hit the goals.
