Sonali Singh is a Senior Technical Program Product Manager and Integration and Digital Transformation Lead at Ford Motor Company based in Troy, Michigan. She leads enterprise-wide modernization initiatives spanning cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and large-scale IT transformation programs, including manufacturing systems. In her role, she manages cross-functional global teams, coordinates across multiple time zones, and partners with senior executives, engineers, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver complex architecture, engineering, and digital integration initiatives at scale.
Her professional background reflects a strong focus on digital transformation, IT program and product management, and enterprise modernization. She began her career transition into the automotive and technology space in 2014 and has since built extensive experience leading large-scale transformation programs. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a persistent, never-give-up mindset supported by confidence in my abilities. I remain calm and professional even in challenging environments, which allows me to make sound decisions under pressure. I draw motivation from strong leaders and the culture of innovation within the automotive industry, and I consistently strive to uphold control, respect, and integrity in all professional interactions.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is to own my voice, stay curious, and not wait for permission to lead. I have learned the importance of continuously building my knowledge and education while also working toward financial independence. Most importantly, I have been encouraged to step into opportunities with confidence and trust my ability to contribute meaningfully in any situation.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering my industry is to stay persistent and never give up, even when challenges arise. I encourage them to speak up, take initiative, and not be afraid to step into leadership roles when opportunities present themselves. Confidence is key, along with a commitment to staying curious—especially in areas like AI and emerging technologies that are rapidly shaping the industry. Most importantly, I would advise them to seize every opportunity to learn, grow, and build their expertise.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges in my field right now include advocating for my ideas in environments where visibility is critical, and ensuring that my contributions are seen and recognized consistently. I am focused on building credibility through reliable, high-quality delivery while also strengthening my ability to clearly articulate my perspective. Finding and fully developing my voice remains an ongoing opportunity, particularly in positioning myself confidently in discussions and decision-making spaces.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in my work and personal life are taking care of others and acting with integrity in everything I do. I believe in facing challenges head-on and “living life tough,” while maintaining resilience and accountability. I place strong importance on respect for cross-cultural perspectives and diversity, and I strive to stay grounded and rooted in my principles, no matter the situation or environment.
