Staci Jo Fisher: Speaker: Staci Fisher, Director, Southern Distribution, 5 Stones Benefits GroupWhat does being an Influential Woman mean to you?Staci Fisher: To me, being an influential woman isn't about having the biggest title or being the loudest person in the room. It's about the impact you have on the people around you. It's having courage to take the chances to keep growing and to lead in a way that make other people believe they can too, right? I think true influence is when your actions speak louder than your words. It's not just about what you accomplish personally, it's about the doors you open, the people you encourage. And what you leave better because you were there. What's one piece of advice you would give to younger women chasing their dreams?Staci Fisher: Well, don't wait until you feel completely ready because you probably never will. Some of the best opportunities in life come when you decide to be yourself before you have everything figured out, right? Bet on yourself. Being willing to change direction, being willing to fail, being willing to start over, and don't let somebody else's opinion of what you should do become the ceiling of what you actually do. Work hard, stay teachable. Teachable is a big thing. Be coachable. Surround yourself with people who challenge you too. When the opportunity comes, raise your hand, put yourself out there. It might not feel good, it might be super uncomfortable, but that's when you shoot your shot. You don't have to know exactly how you're going to get there. Just be willing to take the next step.

Ten minutes with Staci

01What do you attribute your success to?

I believe surrounding yourself with the right people is key to success. Iron sharpens iron and a rising tide lifts all boats. Learning from some of the best in the industry has put me on a path where I "own" my success. Mind set is the key to everything I do and having people to support me through the ups and downs has made all the difference.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received is to never limit myself and to remember that success is not about getting rich quickly it's about building wealth and creating opportunities over time. I believe I am in control of my own path, so I choose to think big, remove self-imposed barriers, and show up for myself every day with purpose and determination. By believing in myself, embracing new opportunities, and having the courage to take calculated risks, I've learned that growth comes from consistently challenging myself and striving to reach my full potential.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to tune out the outside noise and have confidence in your own abilities. Don't let others define what is possible or convince you that the traditional path is the only safe option. Bet on yourself, trust your work ethic, and remain committed to your goals. The results will come through consistent effort, resilience, and a willingness to stand out. Don't be afraid to be different your unique perspective and determination can become your greatest competitive advantage.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is building awareness and credibility as a startup while competing against well-established industry leaders. As a smaller company, earning the opportunity to speak with businesses that may not yet recognize our brand can be difficult. However, that challenge is steadily becoming less significant as our reputation grows and more organizations become familiar with the value we provide. The opportunity lies in continuing to differentiate ourselves through removing barriers, innovation, personalized service, and consistently delivering results that earn trust and long-term partnerships.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that matter most to me in both my work and personal life are freedom, integrity, and making a meaningful impact. I value the flexibility to design my own schedule and create a work-life mix that allows me to be productive while enjoying greater independence. Professionally, I find it especially rewarding to help employers provide valuable protection and benefits to their employees. Because we are carrier agnostic, my focus is on presenting objective options rather than promoting a single carrier, ensuring clients can make informed decisions based on what best meets their needs.
