Her Story

About Stefanie

I started working for my boss in 2015 as an executive assistant, coming from a completely different background with zero office experience. I had been a bartender for 10 years, where I developed great customer service skills, but I was ready for something with more stability and better income. My boss took a chance on me, and it's obviously paid off. Over the years, I've evolved through different roles and responsibilities, and now I serve as Chief of Staff, where I lead human resources, real estate, and investor relations. I'm basically the jack of all trades and utility player for the business. I run the day-to-day operations, though I don't own it. My bosses rely on me as their right hand, and I know how to do everything they're asking of me. I've had to train myself on scheduling, HR, and recently stepped into the real estate role, learning all about that side of our company. My goal is to know everything and never be replaceable. I just want to add value. I oversee a team of 4 girls who work under me, and we handle everything from events to hospitality for people visiting. I'm telling you, no day is the same, and that's how I prefer it. Being the first female executive of my company means a lot to me, and it shows the love and support I have from my bosses, who have entrusted me with that responsibility.

I attribute my success to my bosses, specifically the one I work with directly. He has been a mentor to me and has been so willing to teach me everything that he knows. He is just a phenomenal leader, and I'm so thankful for him every day. The love and support that I have from my bosses, who have entrusted me with being the first female executive of the company, means everything to me.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received is to work hard and learn it all. Just do your best, and loyalty over everything. That's all it comes down to, honestly. Once you prove that you're loyal, the opportunity will come.
