Stephanie’s career reads like a roadmap through the evolution of modern tech. She began in IT operations and programming, realizing it wasn’t quite her jam. What she loved instead was connecting with people—so she pivoted into software sales. Her first major break came in a male-dominated sales environment where she was initially the support person, taking notes and scheduling conferences. She learned by sitting in every meeting, absorbing the craft of negotiation, building relationships—and then she stepped into her first full bag-sales role at IBM.

At Oracle, she spent ten formative years selling databases, data-integration tools, middleware and software—building confidence, expertise, and strategic vantage.  Then came AWS, and later Google—each stop layering additional dimension on her tech-and-business acumen. On her LinkedIn profile she notes over 20 years driving growth and innovation across public sector, higher education, and commercial markets.

She has been invited to high-profile leadership gatherings such as the Black Enterprise Women of Power Summit in Phoenix, and has presented Google’s AI innovations in London to members of The Links, Incorporated. These experiences testify to her stature and influence.

Mentorship, Representation & Impact

Beyond boardrooms and big tech deals, Stephanie’s heart lies in mentorship and giving back. She serves on the Advisory Board for the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business Master’s in Management Program. She also sits on the Board of ScholarCHIPS, Inc., a nonprofit in Washington, D.C., whose mission is to provide college scholarships, mentoring, mental-health support, and a peer-support network for young adults whose parents are incarcerated.

“My passion is mentoring young people and helping them believe they belong in rooms where innovation happens,” she says. “Representation matters—and so does preparation.”

At a recent interview she emphasized the reality: there are more than 700,000 unfilled cybersecurity and AI-related positions in the U.S. alone—and many companies now accept certifications rather than just degrees. She uses these facts to challenge emerging professionals and industry leaders alike: You can step into this world right now, and you don’t have to wait for “perfect credentials.”
