What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a strong work ethic, tenacity, and my ability to truly listen. By listening carefully first, I can understand the situation fully and then develop the most effective plan to solve problems.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is: “Do it scared.” Even when you don’t have all the answers, taking small, incremental steps—just 1% at a time—builds momentum, and clarity naturally comes as you move forward.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to gain knowledge, earn your credentials, and understand the power of generational wealth. Learn how titles and deeds work, treat homeownership as an investment, and know how to leverage and redeploy equity to grow wealth. Build strong relationships, trust your expertise, and remember that women can thrive—and lead—in a predominantly male industry.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is the lack of information-sharing and intergenerational knowledge transfer, particularly in title services. The low representation of African American women—around 4%—presents both a barrier and a significant opportunity. By fostering relationships and promoting open information-sharing, we can create pathways for greater inclusion and professional growth.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, transparency, and trust.
