About Stephanie
Stephanie Mann is a crime and violence prevention consultant with 40 years of experience specializing in family and neighborhood safety. She began her career in her own community of approximately 17,000 residents facing a crime wave and no local police department. By organizing neighbors to communicate and support one another, they achieved a 48 percent reduction in crime within two and a half years. This effort resulted in her book Alternative to Fear, Guidelines for Safer Neighborhoods, which was assisted in publication by Nancy Reagan and helped launch the National Neighborhood Watch Program after being distributed to over 3,000 police departments. Mann is also an author of additional books such as Empowerment Parenting, which was translated into Chinese for readers in Taiwan, and Magical You, focused on empowering teenagers to stay safe and healthy. She operates SafeKidsNow.com and is currently writing a new book titled Strengthen America to defeat socialism. Drawing from her personal experience of being abandoned in Mexico City at a young age without speaking the language, Mann credits her grandmother's advice to turn to God for sustaining her through challenges and guiding her work in community safety.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
When I was abandoned in Mexico City at a young age and didn't speak the language, I remembered what my grandmother had told me: if you don't have anybody to help you, you can always turn to God. I turned my life over to our Creator and He has sustained me.
