Stephanie Whitehead
Stephanie Whitehead is a dedicated Victim Witness Coordinator Assistant at the Macon-Bibb District Attorney’s Office in Georgia, where she has served since 2023. With a strong commitment to advocacy and support for victims, Stephanie combines her expertise in victim services, government advocacy, and crisis intervention to guide and assist individuals navigating challenging legal and personal circumstances. Her extensive experience also includes administrative support and leadership roles within city government and consulting, highlighting her versatility and dedication to community service.
Stephanie holds a Master of Divinity in Professional Chaplaincy from Liberty University and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Fort Valley State University. She is a licensed minister and has earned both state and national certifications as an advanced advocate in comprehensive victim intervention, demonstrating her deep commitment to professional growth and excellence in victim advocacy. Her work has been recognized through multiple awards, including the Mayor’s Unsung Heroine Award in 2006 and being named the Victim Witness Assistant Program Director of the Year by the State of Georgia in 2023.
Beyond her professional achievements, Stephanie is actively involved in community service and volunteer work, including facilitating programs for the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy and supporting crisis intervention through local safe houses. She is also the founder and executive director of Violence Intervention and Prevention, Inc., an organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence. Outside of her career, Stephanie enjoys bowling, skating, listening to jazz, and spending quality time with her family. She is also a published author, having written two books and a stage play, reflecting her creativity and commitment to storytelling.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith in God. I firmly believe that without His guidance and blessings, nothing would be possible.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Always remember that that first impression is hard to improve if you mess it up, whether it is a career or in yourself. Always present the best you in everything you do.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women entering my industry to embrace everything they do with joy. View challenges as opportunities to grow and turn trials into triumphs. Whatever you undertake, give it your best effort, strive for excellent results, and always lead with your heart.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Time management with family, work and ministry, and time for self are my biggest challenges but the opportunities are there. I just have to find the balances and make them work.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My spiritual foundation, being honesty, maintaining integrity, compassion, empathy and self care are the values important to me in work and personal life.
