Her Interview

Ten minutes with Susan

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a strong educational foundation that includes a degree in communication, leadership certifications, and a mindfulness meditation certification. This combination has shaped my ability to lead with clarity, purpose, and emotional intelligence. My background allows me to communicate effectively, develop strong teams, and remain grounded in high-pressure environments, while my commitment to mindfulness informs a thoughtful, people-centered approach to leadership. I am driven by a desire to help address leadership gaps in the corporate world by fostering more self-aware, empathetic, and effective leaders.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Encourage those who want to go out on their own; ask what has held them back, work through limiting beliefs, and provide mentorship and practical support to help them take the leap.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity and authenticity matter most to me, in work and in life. I believe in doing the right thing, being honest, and following through, even when it’s uncomfortable. I also value being able to show up as myself and speak my mind without fear. I don’t believe in staying quiet just to keep the peace. If something can be better, I’ll say it. Being real, accountable, and willing to use my voice is how I build trust and do my best work.
