Susana Reyes

Accomplished public sector executive, policy leader, and civic innovator with extensive experience driving infrastructure, environmental sustainability, public utilities, and community engagement initiatives across one of the nation's largest metropolitan regions. Currently serves as Deputy Executive Officer at the Los Angeles Metro, providing strategic leadership on transportation, environmental policy, stakeholder engagement, and regional development initiatives that advance sustainable mobility and community impact.

Founder and CEO of Agilengines LLC, a consulting practice focused on civic engagement, leadership development, strategic planning, community outreach, and organizational effectiveness. Recognized for building partnerships that strengthen community participation, foster collaboration, and support equitable access to public resources and opportunities.

Previously served as Commissioner for the City of Los Angeles Board of Public Works, where she was part of the executive leadership team overseeing policies, programs, and operations for the city's public works system. Led oversight of critical environmental and infrastructure initiatives, including sanitation services, water reclamation, stormwater management, zero-waste programs, and community-level contracting opportunities. Championed initiatives supporting small business participation, diversity, inclusion, and cross-agency collaboration on major infrastructure projects.

Earlier leadership experience includes serving as Vice President of the Board of Commissioners for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), helping guide policy decisions related to utility operations, renewable energy investments, customer access programs, and long-term sustainability initiatives. Also contributed to coastal resource stewardship through service with the California Coastal Commission.
