Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my ability to adapt quickly, remain steady under pressure, and lead through change with clarity and intention.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked in environments where change is constant, from navigating the uncertainty of COVID in healthcare to supporting executive leadership in fast-moving, high-demand settings. I’ve learned not just to manage change, but to thrive in it, often performing at my highest level when the stakes are greatest.

At the core of my success is a deep commitment to helping others. I’ve built my career on anticipating needs, creating structure, and bringing a sense of calm and organization to complex situations. What began as a natural strength in organization and energy has evolved into a service-driven approach rooted in trust, compassion, and accountability.

My willingness to grow, my ability to bring order to chaos, and my dedication to supporting others are what continue to drive my success.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I’ve received is to never limit myself to the title I was given and to lead with both strength and compassion.

That perspective was shaped early on by someone very important in my life, who recognized my compassionate nature and encouraged me to pursue a path in healthcare. That influence helped me understand that caring for others could be both a strength and a purpose.

I’ve learned that real growth happens when you step beyond the job description, take ownership, and look for ways to add value wherever it’s needed. At the same time, you can be driven, organized, and results-focused while still genuinely caring about the people around you.

That balance has shaped how I show up every day. It has allowed me to build trust with leadership, evolve my role, and contribute at a much higher level while staying grounded in service and support for others.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women entering this field to recognize that this role carries far more influence and responsibility than many people realize.

As an Executive Assistant, you are not just supporting leaders. You are helping drive priorities, manage critical communication, and ensure the organization operates effectively at the highest level. It requires adaptability, sound judgment, and the ability to stay composed in high-pressure situations.

My advice is to never underestimate your value. Be willing to step beyond the job description, take ownership, and continuously learn. The more you understand the business and anticipate needs, the more you position yourself as a trusted partner rather than just a support function.

If you have a strong work ethic, a passion for helping others, and the ability to thrive in fast-moving environments, this role offers the opportunity to make a real and lasting impact.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest opportunities in this field right now is the integration of AI and advanced tools into how we operate and support leadership.

Rather than viewing AI as a threat, I see it as a strategic advantage. It allows me to streamline processes, enhance communication, and significantly improve efficiency, turning what used to take minutes into seconds. More importantly, it frees up time to focus on higher-level priorities, decision support, and initiatives that create real impact.

The professionals who will stand out are those who embrace these tools, stay adaptable, and continuously look for ways to work smarter. AI isn’t replacing the role. It’s elevating it.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me, both in my work and personal life, are compassion, trust, and a commitment to service.

I’m driven by the ability to support others in a way that brings clarity, reduces stress, and allows them to focus on what matters most. I take pride in anticipating needs, creating structure, and being a steady, reliable presence in both routine and high-pressure situations. My approach is grounded in empathy, discretion, and accountability.

I also value adaptability and energy. I thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy bringing organization and focus to complex, ever-changing situations.

Personally, being a mother has had a profound impact on my perspective. My daughter is a constant source of strength and motivation, and she inspires the way I show up each day.

I believe that meaningful impact is more important than recognition. Knowing that I’ve helped others succeed or made a situation better is what continues to motivate me.
