Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to changing people's lives. I had five people in January this year tell me how working with me changed their lives, and I wasn't really aware of it because I wasn't doing that for that reason. I didn't want to change anybody's life. I just wanted to share what I know so they can use it and apply it in their own life, and then it just ends up happening. The circle is closing by me getting feedback from a bunch of them, basically all at the same time, telling me how I influenced them, which is amazing because it helps me find motivation to continue doing this. I would say that just a basic meeting and conversation with me would lead to an opportunity for people, either through massage or other tools. I have so many tools that people can choose which way to go for themselves, which one feels the most natural and non-aggressive. I've seen through my life journey where I started and how I got all these tools, and it's important to realize that all those things are happening for us to give us tools further down the road to be able to handle certain situations or people that we interact with.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

You can have a career you love and be able to move to the US like she did and impact and change lives

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

You can do it too, despite any and all issues that you may encounter

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

My intention for this year was to be able to reach more people and expand. I'm not really big into social media and I don't advertise myself because I feel that's not really me. So finding somebody that could help me spread the word and being honest about it and credible is important. I work primarily through referrals from existing clients who reach out to me, and I teach in a couple of studios but also do a lot of private sessions. The challenge is getting out there to help everyone who may need me while staying true to my authentic approach.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The most important values to me are being present and creating space for others. When you work with people, it requires a lot of your presence and creating a space for others. Then we need time to recalibrate, to ground ourselves, to center ourselves so we're able to be of service to others. It's all about how we serve each other. Sometimes people don't realize we serve each other all the time, but the awareness is not always there. Sometimes we serve people in a negative way because we're not aware, and if we bring the awareness, then the responsibility is there of how we do that. In my personal time, I value reconnecting through cooking, meditation, stillness, spending time alone in nature, and being at the beach. These healing practices help me recalibrate so I can continue to serve others.
