Her Story

About Tammi

Tammi Hayes is the Founder and President of Capital Strategies Group LLC, based in Boston, Massachusetts, with more than two decades of experience operating at the intersection of capital markets, technology, and enterprise go-to-market strategy. She specializes in helping early and growth-stage cybersecurity companies scale by accelerating enterprise sales traction, structuring strategic partnerships, and guiding organizations through complex M&A and exit processes. Her work focuses on building repeatable revenue pipelines that increase valuation and enable long-term commercial success across both regulated and global enterprise markets.

Throughout her career, Hayes has played a significant role across the full deal lifecycle, including venture fundraising, investment banking advisory, and strategic transaction execution. She has advised and helped facilitate the acquisition of multiple private cybersecurity companies by major public acquirers, while also supporting leadership teams in converting high-value relationships into sustainable enterprise revenue. Earlier in her career, she served as a Partner at Good Harbor Consulting, contributed to homeland security and critical infrastructure advisory work, and held leadership roles at RSA Security, where she helped drive early-stage business growth. She also co-founded Futuris Capital, a $22M private equity fund backed by senior Wall Street investors, achieving multiple successful exits.

In addition to her executive and investment work, Hayes is an active board advisor and industry thought leader, frequently speaking on cybersecurity strategy, AI-driven enterprise adoption, and scaling technology companies. She serves on advisory boards across multiple cybersecurity and technology firms and has been recognized for her leadership, including honors such as SC Media’s “Women to Watch” (2025). A graduate of Georgetown University, she is also deeply engaged in mentoring and advancing women in technology and finance, with a focus on leadership development, access to capital, and building inclusive innovation ecosystems.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Tammi

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the life experiences that have shaped my resilience and perspective, including challenges such as tragedy, divorce, cancer, diabetes, and being a single mother, all of which reinforced my belief that I can overcome anything. I also place strong value on mindset and the power of positive thinking and manifestation in guiding my path. Most importantly, I draw inspiration from my parents—my mother, the first policewoman in Massachusetts in 1977, who instilled in me a “yes, you can do it” attitude, and my father, who encouraged me to pursue my goals and gave me the confidence to “fly.”

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering my industry is to be confident in calling shots, making decisions, and using your voice without hesitation. Learn to speak up for yourself, especially when it comes to saying no to things you are not comfortable with, and understand that the more you advocate for yourself, the more respect you earn. At the same time, lead with kindness and professionalism, as strong leadership is most effective when it is grounded in respect for others.
