The legacy I'd like to leave behind is having an impact on people so they have meaningful lives. I like to say I am curing mental illness one person at a time.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the therapy profession is to recognize that it is a rewarding and meaningful field that requires continuous growth and self-reflection. It is important to keep developing your skills while remaining fully present and attentive to the person sitting across from you. Every client is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. While it is valuable to have a plan and clinical framework, the most effective therapists learn to adapt, listen deeply, and meet each individual where they are in their own journey.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in my field right now is the continued growth and evolution of the profession. I believe it is important to remain open to learning from others, including younger professionals who bring fresh perspectives, new ideas, and different approaches. Working in this field is ultimately about working with people, and that requires curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to understand different experiences and ways of thinking. Staying open to change allows us to continue growing and providing better support to the individuals we serve.
