About Tanya

Tanya Wilson is an accomplished entrepreneur, septic industry leader, and champion for women in the trades with 17 years of experience in the septic and commercial wastewater industry. She is the Co-Founder of HomeField East Valley, a 100% woman-owned septic and commercial wastewater company serving the greater Phoenix East Valley, and a Co-Founder of HomeField Onsite Environmental, which she describes as the nation’s first septic franchise. With a background in marketing and business development, Wilson built her career by developing and growing service-based businesses and establishing a strong reputation for professional operations, customer service, and leadership.

In March 2025, Wilson partnered with business leaders from Texas to launch HomeField Onsite Environmental, where she serves as Co-Founder and Southwest Regional Leader. She is the only woman among the company’s four founding partners and leads franchise development, training, operations, and expansion throughout the Southwest. As the HomeField network continues to grow across Texas, New Mexico, and other markets, Wilson remains involved in developing new locations, supporting franchise owners, and identifying opportunities for expansion. Her firsthand experience building a successful septic operation also led her to create Septic Success, a coaching and training community designed specifically for septic business owners and their teams. Through the program, she shares practical strategies for strengthening technology and systems, financial management, marketing, operations, company culture, and leadership.

Wilson is also a recognized business and industry leader. She serves as the 2026 Phoenix TITAN 100 Board Chair and has been honored as a TITAN 100 honoree for three consecutive years, including induction into the TITAN 100 Hall of Fame. She is a 2025 Entreprenista 100 Award recipient, serves on the education committee for the National Association of Wastewater Technicians, is an ADEQ Certified Septic Inspector, and speaks at industry events including WWETT and NOWRA. Passionate about creating greater visibility and opportunity for women in traditionally male-dominated trades, Wilson encourages women to pursue opportunities with confidence and celebrate their accomplishments. She attributes her success to a philosophy of continuous 1% improvement, believing that small, consistent gains compound over time while maintaining a focused commitment to personal growth, business development, and long-term goals.

Ten minutes with Tanya

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a mindset of continuous improvement and consistency. I believe in becoming just 1% better each day, both personally and professionally, because small improvements compound over time, even when the progress is not immediately visible. I apply that same philosophy to my businesses by staying aware of the competitive landscape while keeping my focus firmly on my own goals and vision. Rather than becoming distracted by what others are doing, I believe in putting my blinders on, staying committed to the prize, and continuing to move forward. Over time, that consistent focus and commitment can create results that are far greater than you initially realize.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is to recognize that the opportunities are endless, but you have to be willing to pursue them and make yourself visible. Show up in rooms where you may be the only woman, own your expertise, and never allow intimidation to make you shrink yourself or back down. I also believe strongly in celebrating our accomplishments openly and without apology. Women often connect through shared challenges, which is important, but we also need to celebrate our successes and show what is possible. There is nothing conceited about sharing your milestones, whether that means growing a business, reaching a major goal, or achieving financial success. By confidently sharing our wins, we create visibility, inspire other women, and demonstrate that success is attainable.
