Tashana Briscoe: Speaker: Tashana Briscoe , Change Management ConsultantTashana Briscoe : When you have influence, influence comes with responsibility. And it's not About being proud or, you know, it, it's not like a stripe on your shoulder or swag. Like being influential is making sure that the right thing is being done at the right time and that the right people have access. What does being an Influential Woman mean to you?Tashana Briscoe : Hi, I'm Tashna Briscoe. Being an influential woman means that you are a trailblazer. You know, being a woman of influence, it means that you are creating paths for others to follow. And, you know, the other day I learned a very important lesson, you know, not everyone who creates the path gets to walk the path. And for me, that's perfectly fine. You know, it's not necessarily about building me in this moment. While I am growing, it's about building legacy, you know, building a path that other people can follow that. Other women can actually follow. So, even in my career, I've always done things like hiring persons who have little to no leadership experience, or they may have the experience but no title. Because for me, it was about setting a platform so that people can continue to elevate themselves. You know, even in my career counseling and coaching, it has always been doing that. When you have influence, influence comes with responsibility. And it's not About being proud or, you know, it, it's not like a stripe on your shoulder or swag. Like being influential is making sure that the right thing is being done at the right time and that the right people have access. So, being in influential rooms, it means that you have a seat at the table for transformation, for growth, and for change. So, it's a really, really important responsibility. It's a really important service to me.What's one piece of advice you would give to younger women chasing their dreams?Tashana Briscoe : Hi, I'm Tashana. What's one piece of advice that I'll give to younger women chasing their dreams? Um, I think the first thing would be balance, you know, balance everything. It's not just about working, it's not just about relaxing, traveling. There has to be a balance in life, and each area of your life should set up the other area for success. So it should be. It should be working together. So if you're traveling, relaxing, it should be in a way that makes you more um impactful in the work that you do, and it's the same thing with the work. So you balance your health, your time, very important. Time is very expensive, it cannot be reclaimed, your time, how you relax, how you eat, how you exercise, and the second thing that I would give as a piece of advice is to learn to listen. You know, we don't practice that very well. So, you know, learn to listen not just to people who are speaking to you, learn to listen to the spaces that you go in. Learn to listen and read the womb. Learn to listen to things that are even not being said, because some of the most important pieces of lessons and information that you will learn is from listening and listening well, or Not from listening, because if you don't listen well, you're gonna learn those lessons the same way, but you're gonna learn it harder. So, if you're able to listen, to be quiet, sometimes, to be still and just listen to what's happening around you, sometimes it will make it easier for you to pick up on those skills or to understand how do you act and how you move in a particular situation.
