Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a strong drive to excel, a willingness to take on challenging assignments, resilience under pressure, and a natural ability to lead people through change. I am known for stepping into demanding roles, mentoring teams at underperforming sites, and rapidly elevating performance levels.

I began my career in operations 24 years ago, spending over 15 years at Cummins Engine Company in supply chain and operations roles before joining Amazon in 2016 to help launch the San Marcos, TX fulfillment center. My background in IT and problem-solving naturally drew me toward positions focused on process improvement and operational efficiency. Over the years, I have developed expertise in operations, supply chain management, logistics leadership, and driving large-scale site performance. I have led multiple high-volume Amazon sites, managed complex reverse-logistics operations, overseen 24/7 teams, and implemented AI and robotics to enhance workforce processes.

One of my proudest achievements has been increasing my site’s community service hours from just a few hundred to over 1,500. I have also successfully launched multiple operational sites, mentored leaders across the region, and am preparing my first leadership book, The Secret Sauce to Thrive, which is set for release in early 2026.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from influential mentors who challenged my thinking, encouraged me to grow, and taught me to trust my instincts. Their guidance helped me develop a strong leadership presence and the confidence to take bold, strategic steps in my career.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to speak up confidently, trust your ideas, and embrace leadership opportunities, even in male-dominated environments. I encourage taking risks, staying adaptable, and stepping into bigger roles without waiting until you feel “ready.” Growth happens when you challenge yourself and lean into opportunities.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I believe the biggest challenges in my field are the rapid adoption of automation, robotics, and AI, as well as supporting traditional leaders as they adapt to these new technologies. At the same time, I see tremendous opportunities to leverage AI to streamline processes, reduce inefficiencies, and create new career paths within logistics and operations.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me in both my work and personal life are integrity, service, community impact, accountability, humility, and leading by example. Whether managing a 24/7 operation or volunteering in the community, I believe leaders earn trust through consistent actions, fairness, and transparency.
