Ten minutes with Theresa
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received was from a COO I worked with, and she told me, the minute you get something across to your desk, just do it right away. That's the way I do it - anything that comes across my desk, I do it right away.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Nobody fits into a box. And always meet people where they are in life, in their season of life.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is working with so many different personalities, but it's also a joy because you learn how different people think, you learn to have grace for everybody, and accept everybody for where they're at in life, and work with them in that moment, and then build upon that so that way we can get them to where they need to be.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Empathy is very, very big. Somebody having empathy, somebody being understanding is always important for any area of life, whether it be work or personal. Everybody always understanding everybody else and where they are.
