Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my strong drive to create a better life for my children than the one I experienced growing up. Having a son with profound autism has further deepened my purpose, motivating me to maintain a stable, well-paying career so I can effectively advocate for him and support other families facing similar challenges.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to be the kind of person I would want to manage. It’s a reminder to lead by example, hold myself to high standards, and treat others with respect and accountability. I’ve also learned that if I’m not happy with a situation, I have the responsibility to take action and make a change rather than remain passive.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering my industry is to stay consistent and resilient, especially because the environment is always evolving. Success doesn’t come from perfection, but from showing up regularly, adapting to change, and continuing to push forward even when things feel uncertain.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is that laws and regulations are constantly changing, which requires continuous learning and quick adaptation to stay compliant and effective. At the same time, this creates an opportunity to stay ahead of the curve by being proactive, informed, and flexible, which can ultimately lead to better service, stronger decision-making, and improved outcomes.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are appreciating people who consistently show up and surrounding myself with those who genuinely want to see others succeed. I place a high value on authenticity and strive to be around individuals who are supportive, encouraging, and sincerely invested in helping others do better. To me, being in the presence of genuine people who want the best for you is essential to personal and professional growth.
