Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to preparation, resilience, and a genuine commitment to continuous learning. I’ve learned to approach every opportunity with curiosity, to understand the business as deeply as the people, and to lead with intention rather than ego. Equally important has been the support of mentors, colleagues, and teams who challenged me to grow and trusted me with responsibility. Success, for me, has never been about individual achievement alone—it’s about building systems, relationships, and opportunities that allow others to succeed alongside me.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to focus on being prepared, not perfect. Early in my career, I was encouraged to stop waiting for validation and start trusting the work I had already done. That advice shifted how I showed up—asking better questions, speaking with confidence, and taking ownership even when I didn’t have every answer. Preparation builds credibility, and credibility creates opportunity. That mindset has guided every step of my career since.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Learn the business as deeply as you learn the people. Talent acquisition and HR are most impactful when they are grounded in operational understanding, data, and strategy—not just relationships. Ask questions early, seek feedback often, and don’t underestimate the value of preparation. Most importantly, trust your perspective. Your voice, insight, and leadership style are strengths. Don’t wait to feel ready—step forward, contribute confidently, and grow as you go.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in talent acquisition is the shift from transactional hiring to strategic workforce planning. Organizations are being asked to move faster, do more with less, and adapt to constant change, especially in manufacturing and operations. The opportunity lies in using data, technology, and cross-functional partnership to build more proactive, sustainable talent strategies. When talent teams are empowered to understand the business, influence decisions early, and design scalable systems, recruiting becomes a true competitive advantage rather than a reactive function.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Transparency and honesty are the foundation of how I lead and live. I believe trust is built when communication is clear, expectations are shared openly, and feedback is given with respect and integrity. In my work, transparency creates alignment and accountability; in my personal life, honesty fosters meaningful relationships and growth. Leading with openness allows people to feel heard, supported, and confident—especially during moments of change. These values guide my decisions and ensure that my leadership is grounded, credible, and human.
