Her Interview
Ten minutes with Tiffany
01What do you attribute your success to?
Love and support of my family and friends.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't be afraid to be your own advocate. Apply for the position you believe you have a vision for.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Get the degree. Get the doctorate too. Because even if you work for yourself it will always give you more in the end. A voice, a platform, and the reach you seek. I've never regretted my education. My NP license helped me care for people with freedom and autonomy, they gave me so much love back in return. And the DNP opened doors to impact research and policy in ways I didn't think possible.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I've come to understand that personal training and mentorship in nursing are essential but very difficult to scale in ways that support growing programs training nurses. Schools want to grow and expand, hospitals want to hire more nurses, boards want to ensure safety. There isn't just one factor in play when working with future nurses to build confidence and produce competenece. The name of the game is accountability and consistency both culture factors that can make or break ⛓️💥 the program.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Faith.
Respect.
