Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the experiences and opportunities that shaped my career from the very beginning. I started at Progressive as a customer service agent, never imagining I would one day become a licensed auto appraiser. Beginning as a front desk secretary, I was encouraged to learn about claims, and I quickly discovered a passion and aptitude for the work. When an opportunity arose within the company, I pursued it with the support of my manager, which allowed me to grow into the role. Through every long call, complex claim, and challenging situation, I honed my attention to detail, patience, and persistence skills that continue to define my professional approach. Progressive’s extensive training, coupled with earning two insurance designations over twelve years and receiving customer service awards from the CEO, provided a foundation that propelled my advancement into auto appraisal and shaped me into the professional I am today.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to embrace the journey and not rush it. The experiences that take time often shape the strongest version of yourself. I encourage you to remain consistent, stay open to learning, and be willing to start small. Even when progress feels slow, trust that every step is contributing to your growth and preparing you for the opportunities ahead.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I’ve realized that my journey is really built on a handful of values that have carried me through every twist and turn persistence being the biggest one. Spending twelve years earning my insurance designations and working my way up from customer service to auto appraisal took patience and grit. I’ve always tried to approach my work with integrity and a sharp attention to detail, traits Progressive really drilled into me. I passed a very difficult insurance licensure test right when I found out my son was diagnosed with diabetes type one and also I had three young children going back to school. my determination kept me going and now I have over 34 adjusters licenses I care about growing, giving back through my church, and staying accountable, even in the small things.
