Her Interview
Ten minutes with Tracie
01What do you attribute your success to?
A lot of my success is driven as a result of being able to simplify complex issues. In addition, I have a really strong sense of financial acumen, so I use that to guide my marketing strategies and my marketing programs to the highest return on marketing investments. I have a proven track record of developing innovative go-to-market approaches for both new markets and mature businesses. And really, it comes down to hiring a strong team who can help deliver.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is to continuously seek out new experiences across different types of businesses in order to broaden and deepen my business acumen. Expanding exposure to diverse environments has helped me strengthen my perspective, improve decision-making, and grow as a more well-rounded leader. Just as importantly, I have learned to remain grounded in being human in my leadership—leading with authenticity, empathy, and a genuine connection to the people I work with.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to truly know your customers and stay deeply connected to their needs. Focus on consistently delivering real value, because when you understand your customers and prioritize what matters most to them, success and opportunity will naturally follow.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is the need to evolve from being a supplier of products and technology to becoming a true integrated solutions provider. This shift requires deeper collaboration, stronger customer partnerships, and a more holistic approach to delivering value across the healthcare ecosystem. Another key challenge is effectively differentiating our solutions in an increasingly competitive and rapidly evolving market, where innovation alone is not enough without clear, meaningful value positioning.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Customer first is top. I've had a lot of marketing leadership roles over the years, so customer first, or customer centricity, I would say. In addition to that, I'm very a needs-based leader, so that can apply to customers and my team - helping customers and my team get their needs met, their individual needs met. I think having a very clear vision is important. Creative problem solving, looking at different ways to solve problems. Empathy is big, seeking to understand, listening to people's motivators. And then, of course, last but not least, delivering results so that we can deliver for customers and for our team.
