Treyanna Nicole Brown: Speaker: Treyanna Brown , Medical Coding and Billing Specialist Supervisor, Wound Care InstituteTreyanna Brown : She always remembers to put her trust in that man above.What does being an Influential Woman mean to you?Treyanna Brown : So in my opinion, being an influential woman means being the change that you wish to see. Meaning that you're going to go above and beyond to make sure that you help out in the community. If you see that there's somewhere in your life or in someone else's life where you could be of help, you are going to extend your hand and make sure that that person knows that you're available. An influential woman does have flaws, but she also does not sit on the negative. She's going to be optimistic, she's gonna be a dreamer, she's going to be self-motivated, self-dedicated, and the sky is the limit for her. She's not, not defeated by no means by anything. She always remembers to put her trust in that man above. Influential woman is always gonna make sure that the deeds that she wants the community to see are shown within her works. She's never a sleeper. She's always gonna be a dreamer.What's one piece of advice you would give to younger women chasing their dreams?Treyanna Brown : Do not let failure stop you from becoming your best authentic self. Sometimes we get stuck in places where we feel like we're down, but really, our mindset and our heart is telling us to get up. So don't allow anybody's words determine who you become. Don't allow anybody's words, determine how far you can go. You put your lifestyle and priorities together and prioritize that list. Always, always let your dreams speak for themselves. Put on your best face, put on your best clothing, put on your best attitude, have to be attitudes. It's gonna be a good day. It's gonna be about me. It's gonna be about change. It's gonna be about how can I help. Or how may I help? Don't let anything, anything stop you from chasing your dreams.

About Treyanna
Treyanna Brown is a healthcare professional with over 10 years of experience spanning medical coding and billing. She currently serves as a medical coding and billing specialist supervisor, a role she has held for almost four years, where she oversees revenue cycle management including chargebacks and ICD-10 coding for a team of four coders. Her career began in Florida where she trained as a CNA, EKG technician, home health aide, and became a certified pharmacy technician before transferring to Louisiana. She later pursued education at the University of Phoenix in medical records and health informatics technology and is now working on her master's degree. Brown has been recognized on the Dean's List and draws from personal experiences to advocate for patients navigating insurance and healthcare decisions. Outside her professional work, she serves as a youth mentor, organizes community cooking events, and supports young women in foster care.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My success is built on a combination of determination, faith resilience, leadership and a strong desire to help others. I understand that succes does not happen overnight,it requires consistency, sacrifice and the willingness to keep moving forward even when circumstances become difficult.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I learned that success is not always about how quickly you reach your goals, but about being consistent, learning from every experience, and continuing to grow. Every job, challenege, and opportunity can teach you something valuable and prepare you for the next level. I was also taught to never stop learning, stay professional, build genuine relationships and always remember your worth. Your career may change directions, but every experience can become part of your foundation.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
No dream is too big. Put your focus on God and just go with it. Be your authentic self and just do it. Don't let anything stop you.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is the ongoing shortage of qualified healthcare workers. Healthcare professionals are often expected to do more with fewer resources while managing demanding workloads, staffing shortages, and the increasing needs of an aging population. Maintaining quality patient care while preventing burnout is a major challenge.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I believe in treating people with kindness and respect, regardless of their position or circumstances. Integrity is especially important to me because I believe my words and actions should match. I want people to know that they can trust me and depend on me.
