Her Story

About Trisha

Trisha is an accomplished operations strategist, entrepreneur, and Execution Partner at Journey (Jer-nee), the company she founded to help aerospace, defense, and high-growth manufacturing organizations build the operational infrastructure necessary to scale successfully. With more than 22 years of experience, Trisha specializes in creating predictable, repeatable processes supported by the right people, systems, and technologies. Her expertise spans product lifecycle management, quality systems, organizational change management, enterprise software implementation, and executive operational strategy. Under her leadership, Journey has grown into a respected operational execution partner and achieved recognition as an Atlassian Gold Solutions Partner, serving clients across advanced manufacturing and defense sectors.

Trisha’s career journey is a testament to resilience, determination, and continuous growth. She entered the industry in 2004 after managing multiple tanning salon locations before joining Control4 as a receptionist. Through hard work and a commitment to learning, she advanced through roles in inside sales, technical support, quality management, change control, and product lifecycle management, ultimately leading enterprise system implementations. She later joined a startup where she played a key role in scaling operations through an IPO and eventual acquisition by SanDisk, overseeing document control, PLM deployment, and ERP transitions. At Vivint Solar, she further expanded her expertise in organizational change management and process optimization, becoming one of the top project managers within the technology organization before launching her consulting practice full-time.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Trisha is passionate about empowering others through leadership, mentorship, and authentic relationship-building. Having overcome significant personal challenges early in life, she credits much of her success to perseverance, vulnerability, and a willingness to embrace opportunities for growth. She believes great leaders lead by example, trust their teams, and create environments where people can learn from mistakes and thrive. Today, Trisha continues to help organizations navigate complexity while encouraging aspiring professionals—especially women—to believe in their capabilities, ask questions, build meaningful connections, and confidently pursue their ambitions.

Ten minutes with Trisha

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to lead by example. I’ve found that people respond best when they see you modeling the behaviors, attitude, and work ethic you expect from them.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to believe in their ability to accomplish anything they set their minds to. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, raise your hand for new opportunities, or admit when you’re still learning. I’ve found that vulnerability is a strength, and allowing others to genuinely get to know you can help build meaningful relationships and open doors throughout your career.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is networking. Building strong relationships and gaining access to key decision-makers is essential for growth, so I continually challenge myself to step outside my comfort zone, be authentic, and create meaningful professional connections.
