Valorie Lasley: Speaker: Valorie Howie Lasley, Certified Life CoachWhat does being an Influential Woman mean to you?Valorie Howie Lasley: Hi, my name is Valerie Lasley, and I just want to say a few words about the influential woman platform. I am so honored to be a part of this platform because it gives me the ability to have greater impact in the lives of others. I believe in the empowerment of women who have struggled with self-doubt, low self-esteem, abuse. And other things that have caused them. To not believe in themselves. And I can use this platform as a way. To challenge those women or men. To overcome the obstacles that have been set up in their life and have stopped them from venturing out to do the things that their heart longs to do. Because of fear Fear is the killer of dreams, and I hope to be able to eradicate fear for many women. What's one piece of advice would you give to younger women chasing their dreams?Valorie Howie Lasley: The one piece of advice that I would give to younger women, women chasing their dreams, is to know your worth. When you do not know your worth, it opens the door for others to prey on you. And to keep you From ever realizing what you have inside of you. Know your worth. Don't let anyone else tell you what your worth should be. Don't compare yourself with others. Be who you were created to be. You got this.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Valorie

01What do you attribute your success to?

My life’s journey is a testimony that freedom is not just a hope—it’s a decision. I lived for years believing I was forgotten, that my pain had the final word. At eight years old, I experienced a trauma no child should face, and that wound opened a door to cycles of abuse that followed me well into adulthood. I had my first child at the age of 17. For sixteen years, I survived in silence within an abusive marriage that tried to erase my identity, worth, and voice.

But something shifted.

One day, I realized that if I were going to fight for anything, it would be *me*. My freedom, my healing, my peace. That awakening wasn’t just about breaking free from abuse; it was about rising into a life of *deliberate wholeness*.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don't doubt yourself or your abilities because you possess an extraordinary gift of lifting the esteem of others, while providing guidance and strategies for moving into a positive life direction.

Linda Ellis Eastman, CEO Professional Woman Network

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Know your worth and believe in your ability to effect change in others.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge for me has been to find the right audience and clients for my mission and vision.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values I stand on are integrity, respect, and honesty in all of my coaching relationships. I create a safe place for women to share without judgment.
