Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to learning how to face and grow through my fears. As a child, I was introverted and primarily focused on academics, often avoiding opportunities that required speaking or leadership due to a lack of confidence and personal insecurities, including health challenges such as type 2 diabetes and PCOS. Over time, instead of letting these fears hold me back, I chose to confront them by taking on roles that required communication, leadership, and working with diverse people. This shift allowed me to grow both personally and professionally, and I now see my fears as the very force that pushed me to challenge myself and achieve more than I once thought possible.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received comes from the people closest to me who have shaped the way I think and make decisions. A close friend, in particular, has been very influential—he gives honest, direct feedback without sugarcoating, which has taught me to challenge my assumptions, think more critically, and approach problems with a more open and creative mindset. This has significantly strengthened my confidence and decision-making over time. Equally important has been my family, especially my mother, aunt, and father, whose resilience and life experiences have deeply influenced my values and sense of purpose. Their journeys, along with the guidance I’ve received from my friend, have helped me develop a more grounded perspective and a clearer direction in both my personal and professional life.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women entering my industry to regularly reassess what they truly want, because goals naturally evolve as you gain experience, and that is completely okay. In my own journey, I’ve realized my interests have shifted—from initially leaning toward storytelling to now wanting to move into more technical work—and I’ve learned to embrace that change rather than resist it. Stay confident, stay updated, and stay connected with people who share similar ambitions, because growth often comes through continuous learning and meaningful conversations. Most importantly, build the mindset to adapt with confidence, as change is constant in any career. My guiding belief is that change is inevitable, so it should never be feared, but embraced.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is keeping up with constant change and staying mentally prepared to adapt as tools, expectations, and roles evolve. While learning resources are widely available, the real test is building the confidence and mindset to embrace change rather than fear it, which also creates strong opportunities for continuous growth and reskilling. There are also growing opportunities in visibility and networking through platforms like podcasts, magazines, and thought leadership spaces, where professionals can share experiences and build meaningful connections. Personally, I’ve also found that overcoming self-doubt by taking on more visible and communication-heavy roles has been key to building confidence and resilience.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My core values are resilience, adaptability, and continuous self-improvement, both in my personal and professional life. I’ve learned to view fear and self-doubt not as limitations, but as signals to push myself forward and grow. Rather than avoiding discomfort, I use it as motivation to take on challenges, learn from diverse environments, and strengthen my communication and understanding of different perspectives. Ultimately, I believe real growth comes from stepping into uncertainty with courage and consistently choosing to move forward despite internal doubts.
