Vidhya Ramadoss
Vidhya Ramadoss is a Senior AIOps and Automation Engineer at Nike, bringing over fifteen years of experience in Software Engineering, Software Quality, Test Automation, AWS Cloud Architecture, and AI-driven solutions. She holds dual AWS certifications and SAFe® 6 Agile credential, specializing in Cloud Computing and Agile Methodologies. With a Master’s Degree in Computer Applications, Vidhya has progressed from QA automation and SDET roles at CDK Global and Infosys to leading strategic automation initiatives at Nike, consistently combining technical expertise with leadership, clear communication, and collaborative problem-solving.
Her career journey reflects resilience and adaptability. During her mid-career, Vidhya took a planned break to focus on motherhood, after which Vidhya faced the biggest challenge of re-entering the tech industry after a long gap—a period marked by rapid technological change and intense competition. Rather than stepping back, she rebuilt her skills from the ground up, embraced continuous learning, and transformed obstacles into opportunities. When the right role came, it required relocating to a different state for work and staying away from her family for several months—a defining moment that strengthened her belief that success is built on courage and determination.
Colleagues praise Vidhya for her meticulous attention to detail, leadership and her ability to communicate complex technical concepts with clarity and confidence. Known for her strong presentation skills and collaborative approach, she continues to push boundaries in automation and AI, delivering impactful results while inspiring others to embrace growth and lead with confidence.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to three key factors:
- My Family – My parents and teachers laid the foundation for my growth early on. Today, my husband—my biggest supporter—and my son, who brings joy and balance to my life, continue to inspire me every day.
- Continuous Learning – Learning is my passion and my fuel. Whether it’s technical or non-technical skills, I make it a point to learn something new every day. I also learn by observing and engaging with people at work.
- Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone – I believe growth happens outside your comfort zone. I constantly challenge myself to take on new responsibilities and explore unfamiliar areas because staying stagnant means not growing.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I don’t recall receiving formal career advice, but my experiences have taught me valuable lessons:
- Don’t Take Things Personally – Stay strong and resilient. Accept feedback—positive or negative—as an opportunity to grow.
- Master Time Management – Time is one of your most valuable resources. Use it wisely.
3. Go the Extra Mile – Give your best in everything you do. Look for opportunities to stand out and make an impact.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Below are the things that I follow and I would like to share the same:
- Embrace Lifelong Learning – Stay curious and keep updating your skills. The tech industry evolves rapidly, so adaptability is key.
- Know Your Worth – Your value isn’t defined by your title or others’ opinions. Believe in yourself.
- Stay Calm Under Pressure – Clear thinking during stressful situations leads to better decisions.
- Be Courageous – Speak up for yourself when needed.
- Prioritize Self-Care – Your physical, mental, and emotional well-being matter. Take care of yourself.
6. Celebrate Small Wins – Reward and pamper yourself for every milestone, no matter how small. Recognizing progress keeps you motivated and confident.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in my field right now is the rise of AI. It’s transforming the way we work, creating new possibilities for innovation and efficiency, while also demanding that we continuously adapt our skills and strategies to stay ahead.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Family is my top priority, but I believe professional excellence is equally important. The key is strategic planning and clear prioritization so neither is compromised. My guiding principles—integrity, honesty, loyalty, ownership, and leadership—shape every decision I make. I strive to lead with accountability, build trust through transparency, and maintain unwavering commitment both in my personal relationships and professional responsibilities.
