About Vincia

Vincia Gordon is an accomplished employee engagement expert and Call Center Manager at US Fertility, bringing more than three decades of experience in customer service, operations management, and team leadership. With a strong background in communication, organizational leadership, and process improvement, she has built a career centered on elevating service excellence, developing high-performing teams, and creating positive workplace cultures. In her current role, Vincia oversees call center operations across the East and West coasts while supporting teams and agents, including professionals based in the Philippines.

Vincia’s professional journey began in the media industry in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where she became a television host at age 16 and gained hands-on experience in producing, editing, and storytelling. After devastating storms destroyed her home and television station, followed by the Gulf War’s impact on employment opportunities in broadcasting, she transitioned into customer service and call center operations. She later earned a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications from Morgan State University, building a foundation in communication that has supported her success in leadership roles across healthcare, animal health, financial services, and operations management.

Throughout her career, Vincia has been recognized for her ability to inspire teams, improve customer experiences, and drive operational success, including being part of a 2024 Stevie Award Silver and Gold winning team and leading award-winning sales teams at Henry Schein. She attributes her achievements to trust, integrity, flexibility, creativity, perseverance, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed. Beyond her professional work, Vincia is a creative writer, poet, and aspiring author preparing to publish a collection of poetry and short stories, while also pursuing future studies in life coaching and psychology to further her mission of empowering and supporting others.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my passion for my work, the positive impact I have on others, and my commitment to supporting my team and customers. I also credit my perseverance and resilience in overcoming challenges and navigating career changes.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to embrace my superpower: unbridled enthusiasm. Bringing genuine energy, passion, and positivity to my work has helped me build connections, inspire others, and create meaningful impact throughout my career.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to know your worth, build confidence through knowledge, and stand firm in the value of your skills and talents. While times are changing, challenges and biases may still exist, so it is important to maintain resilience, authenticity, and the strength to advocate for your place.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges I have faced in my field came from unexpected events and industry changes. Devastating storms in the Virgin Islands destroyed homes and a television station, requiring a major reassessment and relocation to the U.S. Later, the Gulf War impacted employment opportunities in television, leading me to transition into customer service and adapt to new career paths.

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are trust, integrity, and authenticity. I believe in being a person of my word, approaching challenges with flexibility and creativity, maintaining a positive outlook, and striving for win-win outcomes. I also value perseverance and the commitment to go the distance without giving up.
