Her Interview

Ten minutes with Wendy

01What do you attribute your success to?

My success is built on resilience, faith, and the unconditional support of my children, who have been my biggest cheerleaders. Overcoming challenges as a parent taught me adaptability and strength, shaping the discipline and purpose I bring into my work every day.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

"A former director and retired Colonel once told me always to remember who I am, regardless of life's circumstances—because resilience opens doors, and simply showing up with authentic purpose can transform the room and impact someone else's life."

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

"Learn to pause, breathe, and honor the waiting periods. True growth requires choosing purpose over haste. When you sit with discomfort and wait for clarity, you make confident, intentional decisions rather than reactive ones. Trust your process, stay aligned with your purpose, and know that your timing is uniquely yours."

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge in publishing today is cutting through digital noise to ensure that authentic, transformative stories reach the people who need them most. The greatest opportunity lies in independent publishing—it gives us the platform to empower emerging authors, honor their unique voices, and deliver timely encouragement without traditional gatekeeping.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Authenticity, honesty, purpose, and uncompromised integrity are the cornerstones of both my work and personal life. I believe true leadership begins with character—living and operating with total transparency ensures that every project, partnership, and story I touch reflects genuine purpose and builds lasting trust.
