Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I owe my success to my parents, whose unwavering support carried me through life’s challenges and shaped the woman I am becoming. Their journey was marked by sacrifice, long days, and quiet struggles—yet they never allowed hardship to dim their hope for my future. From them, I learned that strength is built through adversity and that purpose is discovered when we choose to rise despite difficulty. The obstacles I faced only fueled my determination, because I knew I was standing on the foundation they worked tirelessly to build. My accomplishments are not mine alone—they are a testament to their resilience, their love, and the battles we overcame as a family.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to never stop learning and never shy away from challenges that push you beyond your comfort zone. Growth rarely happens in familiar spaces, and embracing uncertainty has opened doors I never expected.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the tech and IT industry is this: own your voice, trust your skills, and never underestimate the value you bring to the table. This field evolves quickly, so stay curious, keep learning, and don’t be afraid to take on challenges that feel bigger than you. Confidence grows with experience—so take that first step boldly.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in the IT and information systems field is the rapid pace of technological change. New tools, automation capabilities, and AI-driven systems are introduced constantly, and organizations often struggle to adapt quickly. But this challenge also creates tremendous opportunity: those who can bridge the gap between business operations and emerging technologies will lead the next wave of innovation. There is a growing need for professionals who can translate data into decisions, streamline processes, and design systems that are both intelligent and human-centered.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me—both in my work and personal life—are integrity, honesty, resilience, and empathy. Integrity and honesty guide how I lead, communicate, and make decisions, ensuring that my actions remain aligned with my principles. Resilience helps me navigate challenges with confidence and determination, turning obstacles into opportunities for growth. And empathy ensures that I show up for others with understanding, compassion, and purpose. Together, these values shape how I work, how I serve my community, and how I continue to grow as a person and leader.
