How do you move from Here's my idea to You can buy this?

That question feels more difficult than finding a name, shaping a design, or getting a prototype made. I'm not naturally a salesperson. I don't want to buy twenty purses, stack them in a closet, and hope I eventually figure out what to do with them. I want to understand who the bag is for, what matters to those customers, and how to build a business responsibly.

At the same time, I've had a small but encouraging experience when I carry the bag. People cross a room to ask me about it. People interested in fashion notice it and want to know more. That response doesn't answer every business question, but it tells me the bag is starting conversations.

The design began with the way I like to work and move through the day. The bag is designed to fit a full-size iPad. I often carry my iPad mini, which connects to cellular service, along with my Apple Pencil. That setup lets me work wherever I am: checking email, making website updates, and communicating with my manufacturer and team. I wanted the bag to make room for that kind of life.

Now I need to learn what happens after someone says, "I love your bag. Where can I get one?"

Maybe the next step isn't to become a different kind of person or to force myself into a sales role that doesn't feel natural. Maybe it's to listen carefully, invite people to share what they think, and learn how to make it easy for someone who wants the bag to take the next step.

I'm beginning to see sales less as convincing someone and more as helping the right person understand what I've made: how it looks, what it holds, how it fits into a day, and when it will be available. That still means learning new skills-pricing, production quantities, customer communication, and how to invite an order. But I can approach those questions with the same curiosity that helped me get this far.

I have two prototypes. I have a foundation for the business. I have people noticing the bag. What I need now is a clear, thoughtful bridge between their interest and a first purchase.

I don't know every step yet. But I know the question I'm ready to work on: How can Maison Conciatore bring this design to the people who have been asking about it?

For most of my life, I worked in technology. When AI began to arrive in everyday conversations, I knew I needed to understand it-not just hear about it from a distance. I started learning how to write prompts and discover what the tools could do.

At first, I brought AI into ordinary parts of my life. I used it to help me clean out closets, get organized, plan my days, and prioritize the tasks waiting for me at home. I had to dive in and learn by trying.

Then came a trip to a winery with friends. I asked AI to create an outfit from the clothes I had packed in my suitcase. It rendered the outfit-and included a purse.

Something inside me went still.

It was a moment of clarification. The purse wasn't simply an accessory in an image. It felt like a glimpse of something I had been carrying with me for a long time, even if I hadn't yet found a way to name it.

My maiden name means "tanner" in Italian. I had always known that. I had always understood its connection to people who work with leather. But I had never thought of that meaning as a possible direction for my own life.

I asked AI where I could buy the purse. It told me the image had been rendered for me. For a brief moment, I thought, I guess I'll have to figure out how to make this happen. The hesitation didn't last long. The idea had already taken hold.

In May, I had the opportunity to participate in the AI Velocity Challenge through Texas A&M's Mays Business School. I entered ready to explore what I could build. AI helped me think through possibilities, and a wonderful Facebook group of working mothers helped me test ideas, ask questions, and keep moving. Step by step, I found a manufacturer. The idea began to take physical form.

Then, on August 16, I held the prototype in my hands.

That moment made the whole journey real. I had started with an image made during a simple experiment. Now I was holding a handbag I had helped bring into being. I was a purse designer.

I don't think every calling arrives with a plan attached. Sometimes it appears as a quiet recognition: There you are. This is something you're meant to do. The work that follows can be practical and uncertain-asking questions, finding collaborators, testing ideas, and taking one step at a time. But the first moment can be unmistakable.

I spent years working with technology, and learning to engage with AI opened an unexpected door. What came through it was not only a new tool or a new business idea. It was a connection between my family name, a long-held curiosity, and a design I suddenly wanted to make real.

Maison Conciatore began with that purse-and with my decision to follow the feeling it awakened.

I began thinking about handbags as objects that can hold more than the things we carry. The right bag can feel like an expression of its owner: considered, distinctive, and quietly confident.

That idea is at the heart of Maison Conciatore. I am building the brand around a simple point of view: elegance does not need to demand attention. A thoughtful silhouette, balanced proportions, and carefully considered details can make a stronger impression than excess.

Designing a handbag means asking practical questions as well as aesthetic ones. How should it feel to carry? What should it hold? Which details are essential, and which can be left aside? I want each choice to serve both beauty and purpose.

For me, quiet luxury is not about a label or a price. It is about intention: choosing something because it feels right, works well, and reflects your own taste. A handbag can accompany a woman through ordinary days and meaningful occasions alike, becoming part of her story over time.

Maison Conciatore is still at the beginning of its journey, and I am learning with each step. I am excited to shape a collection that feels personal, enduring, and worthy of the women who carry it.
