Rising in Alignment: Finding My Power Through Chaos

By Elvie Garcia

I’ve been through storms—personal, emotional, and professional. I’ve questioned love, trust, and partnership. I’ve faced rejection, blame, and disrespect. And yet, every time life tried to break me, I found myself standing again, not weaker, but sharper, clearer, and more aligned with who I truly am.

For a long time, I thought my worth depended on who stood beside me. I wanted love and partnership to be a safe harbor. But instead, I learned that not everyone is willing to match my loyalty, respect my boundaries, or walk with integrity. That truth hurt. It shook me. But it also freed me.

Today, I no longer measure my value by who chooses to stay or go. I measure it by the alignment I feel when I stand in my truth. Alignment is my new compass. It means protecting my peace. It means honoring my boundaries. It means saying “no more” when something disrespects my soul.

Running my business, West Hill Home Care LLC, has been more than building a company—it has been building me. Caring for others reminded me of my own need for care. Offering dignity to seniors reminded me that I, too, deserve dignity in every area of my life. Creating a safe space for residents to feel seen and heard showed me that I must demand the same for myself.

I used to believe I needed saving. Now I understand: I am my own savior. My alignment comes when I refuse to silence my voice, when I choose peace over chaos, and when I walk in gratitude for every recognition—including being honored by Influential Women—that affirms my purpose.

This is not just my story. This is the story of every woman who has been told she is too much, too broken, too chaotic—yet still rises. The truth is, we are not too much. We are exactly enough. And when we choose alignment over approval, we create legacies that no storm can erase.

I am in alignment now. I am walking it. And I’m not walking alone—because my story is also yours.
