Ultra Mundane Gallery Opens Its Doors With “Continuum
New St. Petersburg Gallery Debuts with Swiss Artist's Solo Exhibition Exploring the Boundaries Between Abstract and Realism

St. Petersburg’s contemporary art scene is gaining a bold new chapter with the launch of Ultra Mundane Gallery, the city’s newest destination for contemporary art and collectibles. The gallery opens with an evening reception introducing “Continuum,” the debut solo exhibition of Swiss artist Marius Wiget.
Founded and co-curated by creative photographer and curator Stephanie Agudelo and her significant other, Ora Fraze, Ultra Mundane Gallery represents the next step in their collaborative journey. Known for championing emerging artists through pop-up exhibitions and community events, Agudelo and Fraze are creating a permanent space for experimentation, connection, and dialogue.
“Ultra Mundane Gallery is more than just a gallery—it’s a space for artists and audiences to meet on equal ground,” says Agudelo. “This is my next chapter as a curator and artist, and I’m thrilled to co-curate it with Ora.”

About the Exhibition: Continuum
Continuum explores the space between realism and abstraction as a seamless, ever-shifting spectrum. In this new body of work, Marius Wiget layers color, form, and collage with tangible elements, creating pieces that feel both familiar and unexpected. By anchoring abstraction with recognizable signifiers, Wiget resists categorization, mirroring his belief that art is open to all who are curious enough to look.

About the Artist: Marius Wiget
Born in St. Gallen, Switzerland, Marius Wiget is a contemporary mixed-media artist with a background in street art, graphic design, and classical technique. After studying at Vorkurs in Switzerland, he moved to New York City to earn a Fine Arts Certificate in Painting from the Art Students League of New York.
Inspired by Renaissance masters such as Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, Wiget creates work at the intersection of realism and abstraction. His paintings and collages, rich in color, form, and texture, are grounded with tangible elements that offer viewers a point of entry into the abstract.
Wiget’s philosophy is simple: art should be accessible. “No matter how much I may dislike a color, I don’t have a least favorite—because when it’s paired with another, it will always just work,” he explains. This ethos of contextual harmony runs throughout his practice, inviting audiences to experience abstraction as a continuum rather than a boundary.
