Bring Her With You
An exploration of progress rooted in purpose, examining how influence, service, and shared opportunity empower women, strengthen communities, and redefine what it means to rise with intention in today’s world.
Bring Her With You
There is a quiet responsibility that comes with progress. It is not just about where you arrive, but who you remember along the way. True impact is revealed not by standing alone at the top, but by choosing to reach back and bring someone with you.
Progress has a way of changing our vantage point. As opportunities expand and doors open, it becomes easier to focus forward—to pursue the next goal, the next achievement, the next level. Yet the most meaningful growth is not measured by how far we advance individually, but by whether our progress creates room for others to rise as well.
“Bring her with you” is not about obligation or charity. It is about awareness. It is the recognition that access, visibility, and opportunity are rarely distributed evenly. It is the understanding that someone else may be just as capable, just as committed, yet lacking the exposure, encouragement, or connection that can change the trajectory of her path.
Progress matters most when it creates space for someone else.
For women who have navigated spaces where their voices were questioned or their potential underestimated, this responsibility carries particular weight. It is easy to internalize scarcity—to believe there is room for only one. But progress rooted in purpose rejects that narrative. It understands that elevation does not diminish impact; it multiplies it.
Bringing someone with you may look like mentorship, advocacy, or simply extending an invitation into rooms where decisions are made. It may mean sharing knowledge that was once hard-earned, offering guidance without competition, or affirming someone before she believes it herself. These acts may feel small, but their effects are often transformative.
Service plays a powerful role in sustaining this mindset. When progress is viewed through the lens of service, success becomes less about accumulation and more about stewardship. Influence becomes a tool, not a trophy. Purpose becomes clearer when it is exercised in ways that benefit others, not only oneself.
My own work through Pnězs Change for Conquering Cancer (PC³) has reinforced this truth. PC³ exists because compassion demands action—and because progress must extend beyond individual achievement to touch lives in meaningful ways. Supporting children and families during their most vulnerable moments has been a reminder that impact grows when responsibility is shared and service is intentional.
The broader world of business and community is shaped by the same principle. Organizations thrive when they foster environments where people are seen, supported, and encouraged to grow. Progress that is inclusive builds resilience. Opportunity that is shared builds trust. And trust, more than anything else, sustains momentum.
For those still climbing, know this: your progress matters. Do not minimize it or delay it out of fear or guilt. But as you move forward, remain attentive to who might benefit from walking alongside you. Progress is not weakened when it is shared—it is strengthened.
“Bring her with you” is an invitation to live with awareness, generosity, and intention. It is a reminder that the path forward is wider than we think, and that the most enduring impact is made when progress becomes a bridge, not a barrier.
