Building a Life of Purpose: Faith, Entrepreneurship, and Impact

My journey has been shaped by faith, determination, and a passion for turning my vision into reality. As a Louisiana native, mother, career professional, and entrepreneur, I have learned the importance of staying committed to my goals while creating opportunities to grow, serve others, and make a difference. Every experience has helped shape the woman I am today and strengthened my desire to inspire others to pursue their own purpose.

Through my businesses, LG Essence Designs and LG Essence Travels, I have been able to turn my passions into opportunities to serve others. LG Essence Designs allows me to express my creativity through personalized products and custom designs, while LG Essence Travels gives me the opportunity to help people explore the world, create lasting memories, and experience new destinations.

My passion extends beyond operating my own businesses. I believe in sharing knowledge, opening doors, and encouraging others to recognize their potential. Through my work in the travel industry, I enjoy helping aspiring travel advisors explore opportunities to build their own businesses. I also value connecting with fellow entrepreneurs, sharing experiences, and encouraging others to pursue their goals with confidence.

Balancing a professional career, motherhood, and entrepreneurship has taught me valuable lessons about time management, commitment, and knowing when to pause and recharge. There are seasons when everything does not go according to plan, but I have learned that setbacks do not have to define the outcome. Sometimes, the greatest growth happens when we learn to adjust, remain focused, and continue moving forward with faith.

My faith is at the center of how I approach life and business. I believe that when God gives us a vision, we must be willing to take the necessary steps to bring it to life. Faith does not mean the journey will always be easy; it means trusting God while remaining committed to the work we are called to do.

Being featured in Connected Women Magazine and Fierce & Fearless Entrepreneur Magazine, as well as serving as a contributing author in the Fierce & Fearless Anthology, has been an important part of my professional and personal journey. Through these platforms, I value the opportunity to share my experiences, encourage others, and inspire women to pursue their goals with confidence.

Community involvement is also an important part of my purpose. I believe in supporting nonprofit initiatives, giving back to my community, and serving as a support partner for small businesses in my area. I understand the dedication it takes to build a business, and I believe that when entrepreneurs support one another, we create stronger connections, more opportunities, and a positive impact that extends beyond individual success.

As I continue to grow personally and professionally, my goal is to build a legacy rooted in purpose, service, and impact. I want other women to understand that they do not have to choose between having a vision and embracing their responsibilities. With planning, perseverance, faith, and a willingness to learn, it is possible to pursue multiple passions while remaining true to who you are.

My message to women who are building something of their own is simple: Start where you are, use what you have, and trust the process. Do not allow fear, comparison, or the belief that you must have everything figured out to prevent you from taking the first step.

Your journey does not have to look like anyone else's. Keep learning, remain consistent, celebrate your progress, and remember that your influence is not measured only by what you accomplish but also by the lives you encourage along the way.

For me, building a life of purpose means continuing to grow, creating opportunities for others, supporting my community, and using the gifts God has given me to make a difference. My story is still being written, and I look forward to every opportunity to lead with faith, serve with intention, and leave a legacy that extends beyond me.
