Committed career’s
When you interviewed for your most recent position did you think it was your forever job? Is there such a thing?
It has been over a decade since I last looked for a new career opportunity. Before joining UMH, I worked in banking, where I was promoted twice in less than a year. While I enjoyed the challenge of learning new skills and meeting goals, the industry often prioritized individual sales over collective success and customer needs.
When I transitioned to UMH, I brought nearly ten years of experience in multifamily property management and finance, despite having no prior experience with manufactured homes. The initial interview truly changed the trajectory of my life; I found a professional environment that felt like home, where the primary goal is helping people realize their dreams of homeownership or finding the perfect rental.
In my eleven-plus years here, I have focused on finding solutions that benefit not only my employees, residents, and the company, but also the broader community. While there have been challenges along the way, I have remained committed to making this career a way of life and to learning from everyone around me.
I have approached difficult situations as opportunities to build my reputation, resilience, and personal brand.
They urge you to train and be the best in the business.
They want you to ask hard questions, even when it is uncomfortable.
UMH has become part of the fabric of my life.
Even the best suits have stains—just hang in there and stay committed to finding your forever career.
