From Hospitality Hustle to Healthcare Impact: My Journey in Multi-State Concierge Medicine
More Than a Job: Healthcare in Motion
When I first stepped into the fast‑paced world of hospitality, I never imagined it would prepare me for a career in healthcare. Managing high‑volume restaurants and retail teams taught me to think on my feet, solve problems quickly, and keep operations running smoothly — skills I now rely on every day as a Remote Patient Services Coordinator supporting concierge medicine across multiple states.
Navigating Complexity with Care
In my role, I coordinate care for over 700 patients across three clinic locations and six providers. From scheduling appointments and managing memberships to updating EMRs in Hint and Elation Health, I handle a wide range of tasks that keep both patients and teams supported.
Patient communication is a core part of my work — whether it’s checking in after a procedure, following up on a treatment plan, or making sure someone feels genuinely heard and cared for.
“What drives me,” I often say, “are the small wins that make a big difference — a patient who feels supported, a workflow that runs seamlessly, a team that can focus on care without getting bogged down in administrative tasks.”
Learning, Growing, and Building Confidence
Transitioning from hospitality to healthcare wasn’t without its challenges. Early on, I sometimes found myself moving quickly on calls — a habit shaped by both my restaurant experience and the natural anxieties of entering a new field. Over time, I’ve worked intentionally to slow down, ask the right questions, and take ownership of patient touchpoints.
I also enjoy mentoring new team members, sharing best practices, and helping others navigate complex multi‑state operations. It’s incredibly rewarding to see others grow and succeed alongside me.
Streamlining Operations Across Locations
Operations in a multi‑location, multi‑provider setting can get complicated fast. I coordinate calendars for RNs, providers, and specialty services like HBOT and MitoRegen therapy. By keeping patient communications clear, managing billing and memberships, and proactively identifying areas for improvement, I help ensure that clinics run efficiently and patients receive the best possible care.
Each day, my role blends operational precision with a human touch — ensuring that the systems behind patient care work as smoothly as the care itself.
Lessons from My Journey
My path from hospitality to healthcare has taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of continuous learning. With every task, interaction, and challenge, I’ve gained confidence in my abilities and clarity in my purpose.
I am honored to be recognized as one of Influential Women 2026, and I hope my story inspires others to embrace career pivots, overcome personal challenges, and celebrate the small wins that make a lasting impact.
