Leading with compassion is a strength. Helping your staff grow to the point where they could one day step into your shoes is incredibly rewarding. Even if they do not stay with me long-term, I still want them to leave with a strong foundation they can build on, no matter what path they choose in life.
I enjoy teaching and watching people grow, both personally and professionally. Having a strong team to work alongside makes the job that much more meaningful and satisfying.
There is something special about watching cashiers grow into assistant store managers, and assistant store managers grow into store managers. I truly love seeing people learn, gain confidence, and realize their potential.
