Finding Success Through Purpose, Service, and the Power of Believing in Yourself
My Purpose Is Bigger Than Me: How Motherhood, Leadership, and Service Shaped My Career

Success is often measured by titles, promotions, awards, or income. While those achievements are meaningful, I have learned that true success comes from something much deeper. For me, success is driven by purpose.
Everything I do is for my son.
He is my greatest motivation, my biggest inspiration, and the reason I continue to push myself personally and professionally. When challenges arise, I remind myself that I am building a legacy, not just a career. Every obstacle overcome, every goal accomplished, and every lesson learned serves a greater purpose than myself.
As women, many of us wear multiple hats. We are professionals, mothers, mentors, leaders, caregivers, and advocates. Balancing these responsibilities is not always easy, but it teaches us resilience, adaptability, and strength. The very qualities that make us successful in our personal lives often become our strongest assets in our careers.
Throughout my professional journey, I have discovered that confidence is one of the most powerful tools a woman can possess. Early in my career, I learned that success begins with believing in yourself before anyone else does. Confidence is not about having all the answers. It is about trusting your abilities, embracing continuous growth, and having the courage to step forward even when uncertainty exists.
Working in the tax industry has given me the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people's lives. Many clients come to us during stressful situations, uncertain about their finances or facing challenges they don't know how to solve. What I've found is that beyond the numbers, people are looking for understanding, guidance, and someone who genuinely cares about helping them move forward.
That realization changed my perspective on leadership.
Leadership Is Not About Authority. It Is About Service.
The most effective leaders listen first. They communicate clearly. They remain accountable. Most importantly, they lead by example. Whether working with clients, colleagues, or team members, I strive to demonstrate the values that matter most to me: integrity, a strong work ethic, accountability, communication, and dedication.
These values have become the foundation of both my professional and personal life. They have taught me that success is not about perfection. It is about consistency. It is about showing up every day, doing your best, and continuing to grow through every experience.
To young women entering any industry, my advice is simple: believe in yourself. Trust your skills, trust your work ethic, and trust that your voice matters. Do not allow self-doubt to limit your potential. There will be moments when you question yourself, but those are often the moments that shape your greatest growth.
The opportunities available to women today are greater than ever before. We are increasingly leading organizations, influencing industries, and creating positive change in our communities. However, with those opportunities comes the responsibility to lift others as we climb. Mentorship, encouragement, and sharing our experiences can make a tremendous difference in helping the next generation of women succeed.
My journey continues to evolve, but one thing remains constant: my commitment to leading with purpose. Every professional milestone, every challenge overcome, and every success achieved is connected to something much bigger than myself.
At the end of the day, the greatest legacy we leave is not the position we hold or the title on our business card. It is the impact we make on others, the example we set for those who are watching, and the lives we help improve along the way.
For me, that purpose begins and ends with family, service, and the unwavering belief that with determination, integrity, and confidence, anything is possible.
