I Left My Six-Figure Corporate Job at 44 to Build a God-Led Coaching Business—Here's What I Learned
From Corporate Burnout to Divine Purpose: How I Left a Six-Figure Career to Build My God-Led Dream
For 21 years, I checked every box that defined corporate success. Six-figure salary. Respected position. Years of loyalty to one industry. But behind the polished LinkedIn profile was a woman running on empty—working her life away while her soul whispered that there had to be more.
Then came the performance review that changed everything.
Sitting across from my manager that day in April 2024, hearing feedback that felt like it diminished everything I’d poured into my career, something shifted. Instead of devastation, I felt clarity. This wasn’t rejection—it was redirection. God was closing a door I’d been too afraid to walk away from myself.
In May 2025, at 44 years old, I made a decision that terrified and exhilarated me in equal measure: I walked away from the security I’d spent two decades building. I obtained my life coach certification and launched my own business, stepping fully into what I now know was always meant for me.
The corporate world teaches us that our worth is measured in titles, salaries, and performance metrics. But burnout doesn’t care about your income bracket. Success without fulfillment is just exhaustion with better benefits.
Today, as the host of the Stuck in Corporate? podcast and founder of my God-Led Life coaching practice, I help high-achieving professionals discover their divine purpose and take action on it—without sacrificing their family or finances. Because here’s what I’ve learned: the same drive that made you successful in corporate can propel you toward something infinitely more meaningful when it’s aligned with your true calling.
Life is too short to be burnt out and stuck in a job you hate. Your disappointments aren’t dead ends. Sometimes, they’re the divine intervention you’ve been praying for.
