Investing in the Next Generation of Women Leaders

Leadership is not merely about titles; it is about responsibility. It is the responsibility to open doors, create opportunities, and empower the next generation of women to enter the workforce prepared and confident in their potential to lead.

My experiences with the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary have strengthened my understanding of the profound connection between service and leadership. Through community outreach, veteran support initiatives, and youth programs, I have witnessed the transformative power of mentorship in reshaping a young woman's aspirations. By being present for others, we exemplify true leadership—steady, engaged, and intentional.

One of the most impactful initiatives I have championed is supporting Texas Girls State. This program goes beyond leadership training; it creates an environment where young women develop an understanding of government, civic responsibility, and the strength of their own voices. The remarkable transformation lies not only in what they learn but in who they become: decisive thinkers, collaborative leaders, and passionate advocates for their communities.

The future of our workforce depends on this kind of early investment in young women. Mentorship extends beyond a single conversation; it is a lasting commitment to visibility, access, and encouragement. When experienced women take the time to guide those who follow, we are not merely sharing knowledge.

We are expanding the leadership pipeline.

Every volunteer hour and every mentoring conversation reinforces the idea that impact multiplies. The future of women in leadership is already taking shape. It is being built one relationship at a time.
