Leading with Faith, Purpose, and Service
A journey of growth, faith, and service across diverse roles in healthcare.
My Career in Healthcare
My career in healthcare didn’t start with a straight path, but it has always had one consistent theme: serving people and doing my best to make a difference where I am planted.
Staffing Specialist
I started out as a Staffing Specialist, where I quickly learned how important it is to have the right people in the right roles. It wasn’t just about filling positions—it was about understanding people, their strengths, and matching them to environments where they could succeed. That role shaped how I communicate, how I problem-solve, and how I value every person on a healthcare team.
Primary Care Healthcare Management
From there, I moved into Primary Care Healthcare Management. This was a significant learning experience for me. I got to see the day-to-day operations of patient care up close and truly understand how much coordination it takes to keep everything running smoothly. It taught me patience, organization, and the importance of staying focused on the patient, even when things get busy or stressful.
Psychiatry Management
After that, I stepped into Psychiatry Management, which was one of the most eye-opening parts of my career. Working in behavioral health showed me a different side of healthcare—one that requires a great deal of heart, understanding, and patience. I saw people at some of their most vulnerable moments, and it reminded me how important compassion really is in this field. That role stretched me, but it also strengthened me as a leader.
Client Services Manager
Now I am a Client Services Manager for a pharmacy that serves nursing homes. In this role, I work closely with facilities to ensure they have what they need to care for their residents. Whether it is resolving issues, supporting processes, providing training, or simply being a reliable point of contact, I take pride in being someone they can reach out to when things need to get done. It feels meaningful to know that my work helps support some of our most vulnerable populations.
Every Step Built on the Last
Looking back, every step of my career has built on the one before it. I didn’t always see the full picture at the time, but I can now recognize how each role prepared me for the next.
Faith and Family
More than anything, my faith has kept me grounded through it all. The Lord has truly been my guide through every season—open doors, closed doors, and everything in between. When things were difficult, I leaned on my faith to keep going and stay focused. And when things went well, it reminded me to stay humble and grateful.
My parents also played a significant role in shaping who I am today. They taught me early on what hard work looks like and what it means to stay committed no matter what. That foundation has stayed with me in every job I’ve held. It keeps me grounded, keeps me moving forward, and reminds me not to take opportunities for granted.
At the end of the day, I don’t see my story as just a list of job titles. It is a story of growth, faith, and staying true to who I am while continuing to learn and serve others along the way. I am proud of how far I have come, but I am even more excited about what is still ahead.
